The Fem Urban Atlas aims to reclaim data and mapping as tools of empowerment, centering the voices, experiences, and needs of women and gender-diverse people in urban environments.

Urban design and policy are rooted in the lived realities of marginalized communities.
Data is co-created, not extracted — and used to drive structural change.
Mapping becomes an act of justice, resistance, and imagination.
Public space is truly public: inclusive, safe, accessible, and shaped by care.

FEM URBAN ATLAS Includes

Participatory Mapping of gendered experiences: safety, access to care, mobility patterns, emotional responses, and social infrastructure.
Feminist Mappathons in partnership with local organizations, activists, researchers, and residents.
Spatial Data (quantitative + qualitative) layered with testimonies, images, and geolocated stories.
Interactive Digital Platform: a public-access site where users can explore, contribute to, and learn from the maps and archives.
Local Atlas: neighborhood- or city-specific chapters co-produced with grassroots groups, students, planners, and cultural institutions.
